One of my 2018 intentions is to experiment with wholesome food recipes. By wholesome I mean, the ones which are refined sugar & flour free and only include seasonal & healthy ingredients. Healthy does not mean eating boring food. I always try to make my food colorful, full of flavors and simple.
I had been traveling for past one week, so this was the first recipe I made myself in 2018 for breakfast. This easy peasy strawberry smoothie bowl is one of those “stick your face into the blender to lick every last drop because it’s just that good”smoothies. Well, I actually did that when I was making this.
Holy yummness! I don’t count calories, so I will be doing this Strawberry Smoothie Bowl breakfast every single morning. This is the yummiest breakfast, post-workout snack or nighttime dessert. Dessert doubling as fuel for the day. A.K.A. get link You can eat dessert for breakfast. Cool, right?
You can add your favorite nuts and seeds to your bowls, for added nourishment and flavor. I like mine with chia or pumpkin seeds.
PS : I will be experimenting with more smoothie bowls this year. Till then, try this simplest bowl of deliciousness you can make with just few ingredients.

- Almonds cut into small pieces
- some more strawberries
- chia seeds
Place fresh strawberries, banana, water, honey, coconut meat and cardamom in a blender and blend for 2 minutes. You may need to add more/less water depending on your blender to get the right thickness. Basically, you want it thick and creamy so it can support your toppings! Pour into a bowl and top with all the goodies. I topped this one with almonds, chia seeds, and strawberries. Enjoy!
By the way, I am leaving for my first ever solo trip to Udaipur tomorrow. Stay tuned to my Instagram stories to follow my trip. Any tips?
