Few days back I found a new natural skincare line named – Raw Home Essentials . I do not know why but the name attracted me a lot towards this brand . Branding does have a impact, lol 😉 . Everytime I discover a new skincare line from India which is actually clean and not just claims to be clean , I literally jump with joy. It makes me happy seeing that finally people in India are becoming conscious for their health .Earth has each and every single thing that we require to keep our skin alluring and beautiful . It makes no point using chemicals or product processed using complicated processes on our skin which will affect our skin as well as our health in the long run.
So , Raw Home Essentials is one such brand that bottles ingredients provided by nature for our skin without adding any nasties like parabens , sulphates …ohh its an endless list.
In addition to providing chemical free range of skin and hair products , this brand also provides free skin and hair consultancy .
Raw Home Essentials Hair Mask
With about eight herbs and four oils , this Hair Mask by Raw Home Essentials makes a perfect treatment for your mane and tresses.
Ingredients – Fenugreek , Hibiscus , Coconut Oil , Soapnut , Shea Butter , Melaleuca Oil , Rosemary Oil , Henna , Shikakai , Brahmi , Amla and Anantmool
Price – 625 INR for 200 gms.
All the ingredients in this hair mask work towards strengthening hair roots , promoting hair growth , preventing premature graying of hair and reducing dandruff. Basically , a solution for every hair issue in a jar. The process is quite simple ,just mix this mask with yoghurt , water or aloe vera gel and apply it all over your scalp and hair just like henna . Unlike oil based hair masks , this mask gets off very easily and without leaving any residue behind.
It moisturizes dry hair without leaving a heavy greasy residue. It left a slight shine to my hair. After my first treatment, I noticed how soft, smooth and manageable my hair was.
I was quite apprehensive of using a mask that has henna in it ,fearing it will make my hair reddish or orange , the color that henna leaves behind. But to my surprise it did not do that. Maybe because other ingredients made hair more shiny and black.
RANT – its smells horrible . But yes anything for soft , smooth and lustrous tresses :p . Rant over 😀 .
Overall , this product is a good purchase for solving your hair problems naturally rather than using chemicals or visiting hair spas.
Raw Home Essentials Peach Body Butter
Peach! Ahh I open this tub again and again just to smell its amazing fragrance which comes from natural peach extract .
Ingredients – Shea Butter , Mango Butter , Cocoa Butter , Coconut Oil , Olive Oil , Bees Wax , Peach Extract and Vitamin E.
It comes at a price of 595 INR for 100 gms.
I just cannot live without body oils and body butters in winters, My skin is like a dessert during this time of the year. This body butter made with so many moisturizing butters absolutely overcomes the dryness of my skin for whole day. It also leaves behind a light beautiful fragrance on the body for good 3-4 hours . On application , it will feel slightly hard (actually very hard) in the beginning and start melting once you massage it on your body. When you are done , your hands will feel a bit sticky which is the only thing I did not like about it.Also, people with sensitive nose , stay away from this product.
The only issue with this body butter is it takes time to melt on the skin.
Raw Home Essentials Hair Growth Oil
Hair and body oils are my fav. I am a hoarder of oils. They work better than any other product by offering the desired results always.
Ingredients – Castor oil , Coconut Oil , Sweet Almond Oil , Argan Oil , Apricot Kernel Oil , Rosemary Oil .
Hair massages are the best. They help me relieve my headache along with offering innumerous benefits to scalp and hair. This hair oil contains ingredients which will not only moisturize the dry and damaged hair but also promote hair growth.
Castor oil – Castor oil carries ricinoleic acid and omega- 6 essential fatty acids, which accelerate blood circulation to the scalp, hence increasing hair growth. It works on nourishing the scalp and strengthening the roots with the help of essential nutrients. (Source)
Argan Oil – It is extracted from the kernels of the argan tree to be used as a moisturiser, conditioner and softener for s hair. Often dubbed ‘liquid gold’ for its amazing qualities, it contains large amounts of beneficial nutrients including vitamin E and fatty acids . (Source)
Rosemary Oil – When applied over the scalp rosemary essential oil helps stimulate hair growth. Many people also claim that it can prevent baldness, slows graying, and can be used to treat dandruff and dry scalp.
Note – I receive messages from people saying that the hair oil I suggested is greasy… Like what are you trying to say? How can you expect an OIL to not be greasy. Every oil is sticky to some extent. Products like Livon etc have made people believe in non greasy hair oils.
I am okay with the greasiness of the hair oils until and unless they are benefiting my hair. This hair oil is greasy to some extent because it has castor oil which has a thick texture. But it gets off so easily leaving my hair smooth and healthy. Its a must have!
