This post includes five DIY skincare recipes using Jojoba Oil that are worth trying and including in your natural skincare routine.
I am back with DIY skincare recipes that contain my current new favorite oil – Jojoba Oil . I am excited to share these with you all as they have been super helpful for me in this dry season.
JOJOBA OIL – A BRIEF
With a light nutty aroma – jojoba oil is indeed a solution for everything – be it chapped lips or dry skin or scalp. Being a light and non – sticky oil , it is suitable for every skin type . People often refer Jojoba Oil as skin healer that offers a plethora of benefits and nutrients to the skin. Due to its moisturizing and hydrating properties , it is used by numerous skin and hair care brands in their products.
Benefits of Jojoba Oil
Being rich in important vitamins for the skin like vitamins E and B-complex, zinc, copper, selenium, chromium, and iodine , it helps in healing skin disorders and soothe inflammation. It restores the natural balance of the skin by keeping it hydrated and moisturized. Besides deeply moisturizing skin without clogging the pores , Jojoba Oil is effective in treating acne , wrinkles , dark circles and removing sun tan.
For buying Jojoba Oil , it is important to keep in mind the quality of the product for its effectiveness. I wrote a post about Meraki Essentials – A Natural and Pure Oils Company In India earlier, a brand I trust for oils and essential oils.
Why You Should Include These DIYs In Your Skincare
The recipes I have shared are easy to make and will not only offer the benefits of jojoba oil to your skin but also the benefits of other ingredients. I get an amazing satisfaction on making my own skincare products as I know that they are pure and only contain helpful ingredients for the skin.
DIY USES OF JOJOBA OIL

CLAY FACE MASK
To make a hydrating and moisturizing face mask add 2 tablespoons Bentonite Clay (you can also use oats instead of clay) , half tablespoon raw honey and 5-6 drops of Jojoba Oil . Mix all of this with rosewater to make a paste and apply it on your face evenly. It hydrates the face along with making it firmer and shinier (a light glow). Clay masks are usually drying for the skin but if they are mixed with an oil , they create a magic on your skin 🙂 .
Add 2 drops of any essential oil (I like adding Lavender Essential Oil ) to one tablespoon of jojoba oil to make a homemade facial oil to improve the texture of your skin. Apply it every night and you will wake up with a softer skin. For people with acne – add one drop of Tea Tree Essential Oil .

Jojoba oil can replace your lip balm as it is highly effective in treating dry and chapped lips. Rub it gently on your lips but do not ingest it. It will dry super quickly from your lips and will leave them moisturized.
HAIR MASK FOR DRY HAIR
Jojoba oil is an all natural serum for your hair. Mix 3 tablespoons of coconut oil , 2 tablespoons honey and 1 teaspoon of jojoba oil to make a nourishing and healing hair mask for dry and damaged hair. I used it only once and it made my hair much better than earlier.
This cleanser can be used by every skin type but it works best for oily and acne prone skin. Jojoba Oil helps fend off acne and honey is rich in anti bacterial properties to cure and reduce acne. Mix a teaspoon of honey and a teaspoon of jojoba oil and cleanse your wet face using it like you do it with your face wash. I did not try this recipe on myself , reason being – I do not have acne or oily skin. I read this recipe on a blog . (You can read it here )
