Besides working as a skin cleanser , it will also gently exfoliate it to remove the layer of pollution and dirt settled on face. The base of this cleanser is obviously the clay with lots of oils to keep this face cleanser smooth instead of being crumbly.

The reason I chose clay as a base for this cleanser – clays have properties to deep clean the pores and attract dirt and oil from the skin like a magnet. It exfoliates skin gently and unclogs pores which help reduce breakouts. I have used Bentonite Clay because it is great for acne prone or oily skin. It can also be used for normal and combination skin. I have made this cleanser especially for people with oily and acne prone skin. Use it daily to cleanse your face and you will have a healthy looking face without oily appearance or breakouts.

For oils and essential oils , I only chose a blend of Jojoba Oil as it is light and Tea Tree Essential Oil as it heals acne prone/oily skin. This product may not smell good , hence I also added few drops of lavender essential oil to make it smell better. Well , even Lavender Essential Oil helps to avoid and heal acne.

I also added honey to this cleanser as honey works great for acne prone skin . I read an article on a blog about benefits of washing your face with honey and it made me add it to this cleanser. You can read it here. I added honey directly to the product but if you want a longer shelf life of the product then add honey only when you are cleansing your face by taking some amount of cleanser in a bowl and adding honey. If you add honey directly  into the product , store it in a cool and dry place in an air tight container. Honey is known to be natural preservative (Read HERE) , but I would still suggest you to use it for 2-3 weeks only.

The final product turns out to be a thick and oily mixture which is utterly rich in clay. It leaves my skin squeaky clean without any traces of oil. Moreover the skin was extremely soft after washing.

It will just require ten minutes to make. As I always mention , you can increase the quantity proportionately to make more. I make my products in small batches (less quantities) .

Add 2 Tablespoons of Bentonite Clay

Bentonite clay works to absorb excess sebum from the skin , attracts dirt like magnet and shrink pores.

One and a Half Tablespoon Jojoba Oil

Jojoba Oil is extremely light  and rich in antioxidants which help to reduce acne.

10 Drops of Tea Tree Essential Oil

Tea Tree Oil is a natural alternative to harsh chemicals for treating acne , blemishes and dark spots .

5 Drops of Lavender Essential Oil

Besides offering beautiful aroma , Lavender Essential Oil also soothes skin and treats acne.

Mix all of them together to form a thick paste and rub it gently on your face like a face wash . This cleanser will soak each and every bit of dirt on your face and offer healing benefits to those with acne or belmishes.

    1. Hi Shweta . You can try making it with fullers earth (multani mitti) , but I don’t think it will be that effective.
