It’s been one of my missions here to share homemade recipes for skin and hair with tips and tricks on how to keep your cleansing routine natural and healthy. It’s fairly obvious that making your own products come with loads of benefits both for your mind as well as health.
I am so excited to share the details of this particular DIY Multipurpose Oil which is used by almost everyone at my home and gets over within few days. I absolutely love making a new batch of this oil every 15 days and the fact that I know what everyone in my family is putting on their skin gives a sigh of relief. It also makes a great gift for a person who just had a baby, for your parents or even your daughter. Because just ANYONE CAN USE this oil and it is super easy to make.
For this recipe, I used only those oils which are suitable all skin and hair types, do not feel greasy and are beneficial for both hair and skin.
As far as the essential oils, you can really use whichever you prefer or have on hand. I did not use any essential oil in this recipe to keep it simple. If you want to use it for babies, then avoid adding essential oils. Otherwise, ylang ylang would be an amazing choice for light floral scent, tea tree for anti fungal and anti bacterial properties or peppermint for a relaxing scent.
For this DIY Multipurpose Oil, you’ll need :
- Equal parts of Sweet Almond Oil, Golden Jojoba Oil, and Moroccan Argan Oil.
- Few drops of essential oil (optional)
Since I made 30 ml oil, I added 10 ml each of Sweet Almond Oil, Golden Jojoba Oil, and Moroccan Argan Oil. In 30 ml of oil, you need to add 10-12 drops of essential oil you prefer.
- Mix all the ingredients in a bowl/measurement cup.
- Store it in a glass bottle preferably with a pump or dropper. I reused this bottle from one of the products by Juicy Chemistry. (I am good at reusing old product bottles. Read my article on this topic here)
